Alan Brent Campbell, youngest child of Emlin Verne and Laura Squires Campbell, was the only one to complete college. He was graduated in June, 1950, from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. Here he appears (right) with his brother-in-law, Dr. Richard D. ("Dick") Leonard, who had no part in the ceremonies but brought his Ph.D. regalia with him from Michigan for this special photograph.
